PDF Compressor

Genuinely shrink a PDF in your browser. Optimise losslessly, or recompress page images for bigger savings.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use

  1. Drop in a PDF.
  2. Choose lossless optimisation, or recompress the page images for bigger savings.
  3. Set the image quality if you picked recompression.
  4. Compare the before and after size, then download the smaller PDF.

Examples

  • A treatment or pitch deck full of photos shrinks most when you recompress its images.
  • A text-heavy call sheet or contract benefits from lossless optimisation with no visible change.
  • Dropping image quality a little is often enough to slip a PDF under an email size limit.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is read and rewritten entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Lossless or recompress?

Lossless strips waste without touching content, safe for text and line art. Recompression re-encodes the embedded images at a lower quality, which saves far more on photo-heavy PDFs at some loss of image detail.

Why did my PDF barely shrink?

If it is mostly text or already optimised, there is little to remove. The big savings come from photo-heavy pages, where recompressing the images makes the difference.
