Are my images uploaded?
No. Every image is decoded and re-encoded in your browser with a canvas, and nothing leaves your device.
Why convert HEIC?
HEIC is efficient but not supported everywhere. Converting to JPG makes iPhone photos open reliably on any computer, browser or editor.
Will I lose quality?
Converting to a lossless format like PNG keeps full quality. JPG and WebP are lossy, so pick a quality that balances size against detail. Converting between lossy formats more than once can soften an image.
