Slowed and Reverb Maker

Drop a track and hear it slowed and reverbed straight away. Sped up, nightcore, chopped and a punchy short edit are one click each, then take over the speed, room size, reverb, bass, drive and chop yourself. Export a 16-bit WAV. Deterministic, so the same settings render the same file every time. Your music never leaves your device.

Your files never leave this device. All processing happens in your browser, there is no upload, no server, no account, and nothing is kept.

How to use

  1. Drop a track onto the panel, or click it and pick a file. Nothing is uploaded, the audio is decoded on this device.
  2. Press play. It opens on slowed and reverb, so you hear the effect immediately.
  3. Try the other feels: deep slowed, sped up, nightcore, chopped, punchy edit, or untouched to hear the original.
  4. Take over any dial. Speed sets the pitch and the tempo together, the way a slowed edit really works. Room size is the length of the reverb tail, reverb is how much of it you hear.
  5. Bass lifts or cuts the low shelf, drive adds soft saturation, and chop gates the level on a grid so the space between the hits opens up.
  6. Press export wav for a 16-bit WAV of exactly what you are hearing.

Examples

  • A slowed and reverb edit for a video: drop the song, leave it on the default, export, drop the WAV on your timeline.
  • A sped up version for a short: click sped up, nudge the speed to taste, export.
  • A chopped and screwed feel: click chopped, then raise chop to 6 or 8 per second for a tighter stutter.
  • A cleaner master: click untouched, then add a little drive and one or two dB of bass.

Frequently asked questions

Is my music uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is decoded and rendered entirely in your browser. There is no server, no account and nothing is kept.

Does slowing it down change the pitch?

Yes, and that is the point. A slowed and reverb edit works exactly like playing a record slower: the tempo and the pitch drop together. Speed 0.82 lowers a 440 Hz note to 361 Hz. If you want the tempo changed without the pitch, that is time stretching, and this tool does not do it.

What is the difference between slowed and nightcore?

They are opposites. Slowed plays the track under normal speed so it drops in pitch, nightcore plays it above so it rises. Sped up sits between nightcore and normal.

Where does the reverb come from?

It is built, not sampled. The tail is generated from a seeded random number generator and decays exponentially, so it is identical on every machine and no impulse file is ever downloaded.

Will the same settings give me the same file twice?

Yes. The render is deterministic. The same track with the same dials produces a byte-identical WAV every time.

What does chop do?

It gates the level on a grid rather than looping slices, so the track keeps its timing while the gaps between hits open up. It is the feel behind a chopped edit without cutting the song apart.

Which formats can I load?

Anything your browser can decode, which normally means MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC. Output is always a 16-bit WAV.
