Shot List Builder

Plan every shot, scene, framing, lens and movement, and export to PDF or CSV.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use

  1. Type a scene heading, then pick framing and movement from the menus.
  2. Add the lens and the subject, plus any note for the crew.
  3. Press Add shot to drop it into the list, and repeat for the scene.
  4. Watch the running totals and the shots-per-scene bar to balance your day.
  5. Export the finished list to PDF for the call sheet or CSV for your planning sheet.

Examples

  • A dialogue scene might be a wide master, two singles and a pair of over-the-shoulders, five shots that the bar shows clustered on one scene.
  • A montage spread thin across many scenes shows up as lots of single-shot bars, a signal you may be moving the camera too often for the time you have.
  • Tagging each shot with its lens lets the camera team pre-rig the right glass and see at a glance how many lens changes the day needs.

Frequently asked questions

What do the framing codes mean?

They are the standard abbreviations, from ELS for extreme long shot through WS, MS and CU to ECU for extreme close-up, plus OTS, POV and INSERT. They keep the list compact and readable to any crew.

How is the setup count worked out?

It counts the distinct scenes in your list as a rough proxy for camera setups, a quick sense of how much repositioning the day involves. Treat it as a planning guide, not a strict schedule.

Is my list saved anywhere?

No. The whole tool runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Export to PDF or CSV before you leave the page to keep your work.
